My bearded dragon..Help!?

Okay today was a total disaster. My Heat lamp for my dragon fell inside his cage today while i was at school, right? IT CAUSED MAJOR SMOKE. and i found out from my sister whom was home and had no idea where the smoke was coming from so she left the house.. and whatever we threw away the lights and decided to get more tomorrow. I gave him a load of veggies/fruits this morning but no crickets today or yesterday because we had run out. So now its night and he hasnt been able to get his heat/uv light. So i decided to soak him in water, once i had soak him in water and taken him out he was very... FAT. like im talking a ball. i had never seen him like that. so i though hmmmm maybe its cause he didnt get sufficient light to digest his food? but im worried because maybe his lungs/eyes are irritated from the smoke. So can you please help me? Why is my beardie fat? )))):
