My teacher didn't really teach us the reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry...we have a hard lab final?

I'm completely lost on how to do any of the problems. I don't get the lingo. My dad's good at ochem but he screams at me if I don't get it or want him to assist further. Where can I get help?
