What kind of bulbs are needed for nail gel curing?

My friend and I purchased a 36W nail curing lamp but it doesn't cure the gels at all. I am wondering if the bulbs are the wrong kind? We know it's not the product, as we purchased different types from several companies, and none of them are curing. I need to know what kind of UV bulbs are needed for such a lamp.
