What can I do about the dark circles under my eyes?

I've had dark black circles under my eyes ever since I could remember. Anyways, they didn't show as a child because I'm pretty tan and I was always out in the sun so it wasn't really obvious. But as I started growing (I'm 16) I took precautions to stay out of the sun to reduce pimples and avoid UV rays. Anyways, so my skin is a bit lighter now and these circles under my eyes have become a lot more obvious. That could be a result of my lack of sleep and the fact that I'm anemic. Anyways, are there any ways of getting rid of these dark circles? Is there a facial method or something?
