Won't follow game links in Facebook.?

I've never had this problem before. I'm not good with computers and don't know the lingo so I'll describe the best I can what is happening. Right now if I click on any of the game requests that come along my feed my computer will not follow the link. I just get the spinning circle thing and nothing happens. Even waiting 3 minutes brings nothing. I can't get my game request page to open, same thing happens. I've run all my checks and scans, even done a system restore and rerun all checks and scans. That is all I know to do. The only possible update is IE9 and my computer doesn't like it. Please and suggestions would be great. Something other than to toss the bleedin' thing out the ever lovin' window would be better.
